A former executive at BFNC, Greenard has extensive expertise in program management and financial services, making him a key figure in the development and implementation of tax assistance programs.
Before his career in finance, Greenard was a standout football star at the University at Buffalo and went on to play professional football. His discipline and leadership on the field have translated into a successful career off the field, where he continues to empower individuals through tax education and community service. His unique blend of athletic prowess and financial expertise has made him a respected leader in both the sports and financial sectors.
Rose Mary Ginwright is the Tax Program Coordinator, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous role at Child and Family Service, where she worked extensively in financial counseling and support services. With over a decade of experience in managing programs aimed at improving financial literacy, Rose Mary excels in providing expert guidance on tax preparation, financial planning, and community outreach.
At Child and Family Service, Rose Mary played a pivotal role in helping families navigate complex financial situations, offering tailored support to meet their unique needs. Her expertise in program development and client engagement ensures that individuals and families receive the highest level of assistance in managing their taxes and financial well-being. Brooke Densing, MSW, is the Hope Center Coordinator, bringing nearly 15 years of expertise in capacity building, community organizing, and program development. With a Master of Social Work in Community Social Work from the University at Buffalo, Brooke has a strong background in engaging communities and fostering long-term solutions to address critical social challenges.
As a Program Director, Brooke has successfully led initiatives that focus on empowering underserved populations, developing sustainable programs, and securing funding for long-term community impact. Their work includes managing multi-faceted programs, collaborating with local organizations, and driving efforts that expand access to essential resources and services. Brooke’s leadership ensures that the Hope Center continues to grow as a vital community support hub.
John Conklin is a dedicated Financial Coach and FAFSA Advisor at the Hope Center, where he provides guidance on financial planning, budgeting, and navigating the FAFSA process for students. In addition to his role at the Hope Center, John also serves as a Financial Coach at the Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers (BFNC), based in Buffalo, New York. With extensive experience at GreenSpark Energy, John brings a unique perspective to financial coaching, combining his knowledge of finance with a background in energy solutions.
John holds a degree from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh and is licensed by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) in PV Technical Sales. His volunteer experience as a Community Outreach Specialist with AmeriCorps demonstrates his commitment to serving communities and empowering individuals through education and financial literacy.
John Sang, PharmD, is a highly qualified Medication and Health Education Specialist with a strong background in community health and pharmaceutical care. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with honors. John is licensed by the New York State Board of Pharmacy and has over 8 years of experience in both clinical and community pharmacy settings.
Before joining our center, John worked as a clinical pharmacist at a major healthcare provider, where he focused on medication therapy management and patient education. His expertise spans a wide range of health topics, including chronic disease management, preventative care, and medication safety.
John writes informative articles and conducts workshops to help families and individuals better understand their medications, navigate the healthcare system, and manage their prescriptions effectively. His goal is to empower the community by providing them with the knowledge they need to make informed health decisions while also improving their financial stability by preventing costly medication errors.
Dr. Doris Fine is a highly experienced Family Health and Medication Consultant with a deep passion for pediatric medicine. She has dedicated her career to providing optimal healthcare for children, from birth to 21 years, through her work in both outpatient pediatric care and pediatric emergency medicine. Dr. Fine has served at Borekin Neighborhood Health Center and brings extensive experience from both large and small medical practices, as well as major medical centers and teaching hospitals.
Dr. Fine earned her MD in Medicine from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and holds a Master’s in Nutrition from Teachers College, Columbia University. She also completed a BS in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College and a BS in Education from Finch College. Dr. Fine is currently board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, with recertification through 2024, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
With a strong focus on communication, Dr. Fine excels at working closely with parents, children, and caregivers, ensuring that her patients receive personalized, comprehensive care. Her passion for pediatric medicine and extensive experience with electronic health records (EHR) contribute to her ability to provide high-quality, efficient care.
Paula Amerman, RN, MSN, MA, is a Medication Management Advisor and Clinical Research Consultant with extensive experience in psychiatric and mental health nursing. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology from Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School. Paula also earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Georgetown University.
With over 12 years of experience in clinical settings and research, Paula brings a wealth of knowledge in medication management, particularly in mental health care. She has worked with diverse populations, offering education and support on medication use, side effects, and long-term management of psychiatric conditions. As a Clinical Research Consultant, she has been involved in studies focusing on the efficacy and safety of psychotropic medications, contributing to advancements in mental health treatments.
Paula advises community members on safe medication practices and works to improve understanding of mental health treatments, ensuring individuals and families can manage their health effectively while reducing financial strain. Her unique blend of nursing and psychology expertise enables her to provide holistic support to those facing mental health challenges.
